Our goal is to facilitate personal connections between the HBCU community (including alumni of all ages and current students) to tech companies and startups. We host video conferences or “hangouts” to facilitate these connections. These hangouts are great opportunities to learn about a company, its work culture and interview process, and to meet current employees. The format is a casual 1 hour Q&A, where all participants have the opportunity to ask questions. Often video conference participants will use the call as an opportunity to check out the company before applying for a position. However, after participating there is no obligation or pressure to apply for a job at the company.
